Under general supervision, assists in the administrations of various Human Resource programs, including employee benefits, salary administration, office services, new hire material, record maintenance, payroll, and other HR services. Responsible for assisting Human Resources department with administrative duties. Communicates company human resources policies and procedures, and interacts with other human resources related staff.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible and help compile and maintain employee records for a company or organization. Assist with the daily administrative operations of the human resource department and interact with employees, management and other business associates. Knowledge of company and legal employment policies, office procedures and customer service standards typically is essential for those working in a human resource department.

Maintaining employee records
Presenting benefits packages and New Hire Orientation materials, forms, training, etc.
Recruiting Assistance in interviewing process, checking references and organizing background checks
Providing policy training
Assures job requisitions and pre-hire authorizations are completed and processed
Furnishes required background checks, verification, and reference information about active candidates and terminated employees
Ensures necessary new hire paperwork is completed and payroll is notified
Processes all hires, transfers, promotions, terminations and other personnel paperwork, ensuring accurate data and confidentiality in compliance with all legal requirements
Coordinates/conducts new hire orientation and collection of new hire paperwork including offer letters and agreements. Distribution of all documents to the appropriate manager and department
Acts as system administrator for computerized database of employee records. Prepares reports and statistical summaries from the records, including census, turnover, and salary data
Conducts new hire orientation and accurately completes requisite paperwork of new staff member
Interfaces with Payroll to ensure all employee changes are accurately implemented
Handles and processes all personnel/payroll changes and records
Prepares offer letters, turndown letters, and send out exit interviews
Answers general Human Resources related questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and records information
Administration with Education Reimbursement, Employee Referrals, and HR invoices
Accurately inputs, computes, and retrieves data and prepares reports utilizing knowledge of various software programs
Acts as custodian of records, protecting confidentiality of records, and releasing information only to individuals with legitimate need-to-know inquiries, and proper authorization
Work closely with Human Resource staff to ensure company policies and procedures are adhered
Researches special projects
Other duties as assigned or necessary to support the team

Education/Licensing Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; plus one year of office and/or administrative experience
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance

Physical Requirements:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Prolonged sitting, and required to stand / walk as nessesary
Indoor office environment
30% of time spent on PC
